About The Position

The Manager of Pricing Strategy supports the continuous improvement of our strategic pricing capability across the NAPA Auto Parts business. In this role you will lead value creation projects and process improvement initiatives to prime the organization for large systematic changes to pricing management and execution. You will closely with IT, pricing leadership, and consultancy partners to support and inform execution of the pricing strategies across NAPA. Position Performance Measures: Stated value creation targets for 2022, 2023, and 2024 Accurately complete all assigned tasks within schedule allotted Help ensure Company meets annual sales, profit, inventory turn and cash conversion cycle responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, or other quantitatively rigorous field
  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience or equivalent management experience in the field of pricing, merchandising / category management, or finance
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Firm understanding of demand modeling, optimization, and rules-based pricing
  • Experience developing ad hoc analysis and dashboards utilizing BI Tools
  • SQL and relational database experience
  • Microsoft Access and Visual Basic
  • Alteryx data mining and analytics
  • Ability to work independently, manage small engagements or parts of large engagements
  • Team player helping to build a continuous improvement culture
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in financial analysis and working with data inputs from multiple sources
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques
  • High level of initiative, curiosity and potential to go beyond the described role as the team responsibilities evolve.

  • Experience managing complex transformation projects in the commercial space

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal and external data integration to drive quantitative business decisions
  • Develop source-to-target data model for execution of value creation opportunities using Microsoft Excel, Access, relational databases, SQL, Visual Basic, and/or BI tools (Power BI/Qlik)
  • Execute and monitor value capture opportunities in line with year-end targets
  • Recommend and quantitatively test pricing strategies and deploy successes
  • Leverage the design / development of BI tools in support of business goals
  • Write queries (SQL) to join relational databases
  • Identify, analyze, develop action plan, implement, and monitor multiple process improvement projects
  • Perform frequent and consistent status updates
  • Design new capabilities that capitalize on emerging technology
  • Conduct on-demand price management analysis and communicate results to executive leadership
  • Work closely with IT and business owners to inform and ensure the quality, accessibility, and consistency of pricing data
