About The Position

The Strategic Planning Consultant at SAIC is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of long-range strategic plans and objectives for the company or its customer organizations. This role involves formulating strategic actions to enhance the organization's market position, recommending significant capital expenditures, and advancing capabilities to meet evolving customer needs. The consultant may also identify and evaluate strategic business alliances and structure joint ventures or acquisitions, working closely with senior management and customer leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with eighteen (18) years of related experience; or a Master's degree with sixteen (16) years of experience; or a PhD or JD with eight (8) years of experience.
  • NASA aircraft operations experience.
  • 15+ years of experience managing large complex organizations.
  • Effective communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and execution of long-range strategic plans and objectives.
  • Formulate strategic courses of action to maximize market advantage.
  • Recommend actions including significant capital expenditures.
  • Advance existing capabilities to meet evolving customer needs.
  • Drive expansion into new and related markets.
  • Identify, investigate, and evaluate strategic business alliances.
  • Structure joint venture and acquisition transactions and suggest terms of agreements.
  • Work with senior management and customer leadership as an individual contributor.
