BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT: BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT: WFP’s new Public Partnerships Division (PPD) builds on the experience of the former Multilateral and Programme Country Partnerships (MPC), Global Partner Countries (GPC) and the Partnerships Coordination Service (PCS) to expand strategic engagement and country office support across donor types. Coherent country office support will be provided through the Partnerships Department's CO Support Hub. The Hub is a corporate initiative to expand and diversify partnerships to increase CO resourcing and support countries achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), particularly SDG2. The Consultant will report to a Partnerships Officer in charge of CO Support. The Consultant will work in coordination with donor account managers and regional offices. The Consultant would support COs' partnership journey from planning to opportunity confirmation and is expected to travel to the field where requested. The Consultant will support a designated set of Country Offices and act as a focal point for specific corporate processes, donor accounts and themes.
