About The Position

The Gaming Publisher Team's mission is to make YouTube the most valuable destination for Game Publishers to reach players and build communities around their games globally. In concert with this mission, as partnership managers, we understand Games publishers' business needs, goals and milestones. Our team is proactive with Game Publishers to identify opportunities for new products, content and programs that can drive impact across key business objectives. This team executes product and content partnerships with Game Publishers to launch products to drive scaled adoption and usage of new features and products like YouTube playables and YouTube shopping. We ensure publishers understand YouTube's vital role in their game ecosystem, how creators and viewers contribute to success of their games, and drive publisher investment in the YouTube creator ecosystem. Our team ensures Game Publishers drive YouTube Product adoption and Content priorities through deep partnerships. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience working in media, entertainment, or gaming industry in business development and partnerships.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working at a game publisher or platform on content marketing initiatives, creators/influencers, and maintaining business relationships.
  • Experience with YouTube creation, strategy, and management.
  • Experience managing end-to-end partnerships.
  • Experience in and passion for the gaming space.
  • Understanding of user journeys between in-game experiences and video platforms.
  • Ability to leverage data to drive decisions and measure partnership effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and evolve external relationships with partners and across the ecosystem, and manage partnerships with entities of all sizes.
  • Negotiate and close content acquisition agreements and renewals to grow the catalog of games for YouTube Playables.
  • Ideate and drive business agreements with potential partners and renewals/expansions for existing partners and build consensus with internal and external executives.
  • Serve as the relationship manager for our current existing agreements. Help realize and optimize value from these partnerships while building effective long-term relationships.
  • Develop cross-product area partner initiatives and execute go-to-market strategies to meet broader Google goals across rapidly changing industries.
