The Manager of Strategic Operations is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of external resources and supplier relationships. This position drives organizational efficiency and cost-effectiveness by overseeing resource requests, coordinating with external vendors, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations. The role requires a strong focus on data analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement to optimize business outcomes.

  • Manage a portfolio of external service providers, including leading regular meetings to discuss performance, strategy, and operational issues.
  • Negotiate and oversee contract renewals and ongoing service agreements to ensure favorable terms and compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and procurement teams to evaluate supplier performance and sourcing strategies.
  • Lead strategic projects related to supplier management and outsourcing initiatives.
  • Manage resource allocation by reviewing, classifying, and approving internal service requests.
  • Compile and consolidate workforce data from various sources to generate regular reports on headcount, cost, and capacity.
  • Develop and present workforce planning forecasts and strategic insights to senior leadership.
  • Monitor workforce trends and market conditions to inform long-term resource strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain operational processes to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure all resource management and supplier engagement activities comply with company policies and relevant legal regulations.
  • Analyze operational metrics and performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive corrective actions.
  • Oversee regular data cleanup and maintenance of internal resource databases to ensure accuracy.
  • Generate and distribute weekly, monthly, and semester-based reports on workforce metrics, project status, and cost tracking.
  • Conduct financial calculations, such as monthly labor accruals and vendor cost tracking, to support budget management.
  • Provide data-driven insights and presentations to support management decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, vendor management, or workforce planning roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience working with data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with workforce or project management software is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems independently, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Understanding of compliance, labor regulations, and operational best practices.
