About The Position

Strategic Management Analyst I/ II: Executes enterprise programs for strategic initiatives, emerging technology, and overall agency operational efficiencies and innovation. Work involves compiling, reviewing, analyzing and evaluating information; preparing comprehensive reports and monitoring programs. Work entails extensive collaboration across agency at all levels. Work requires contact with executives, governmental officials, and private entities. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
  • Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree on a year per year basis.
  • 1 year experience in management analysis, operations management, data analysis, program management, organizational change management, strategic planning or related activities.
  • Experience can be satisfied by full time or prorated part time equivalent.
  • Related graduate level education may be substituted for experience on a year per year basis.
  • Valid driver’s license. This position requires driving a state vehicle.
  • Considerable knowledge of: Strategic planning concepts and methods Portfolio, program and project planning, development and management Organizational change management methodologies.
  • Proficient skill in: Communicating complex ideas and information clearly, concisely, and effectively Developing and/or making presentations Maintaining a safe working environment
  • Ability to: Communicate effectively

Responsibilities

  • Establishes performance targets and measures results through comparative analysis.
  • Monitors and/ or analyzes federal and state laws, rules, and regulations with potential impact on assigned functions.
  • Analyzes agency processes, policy and legislation, industry trends to identify and recommend solutions to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Assists with identification, development, and implementation of strategic enterprise initiatives, enterprise programs, and emerging technology.
  • Analyzes emerging technology and data tools for agency-wide application and implementation.
  • Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assists with communication development and organizational change management.
  • Assists with coordination of liaison work between divisions and districts to collect, share, and track information.
