About The Position

The Strategic Internal Communications Manager plays a critical role in shaping and delivering a cohesive, SNA company-wide internal communications strategy that informs, engages, and aligns employees with the organization’s vision, priorities, and culture. This role requires strategic partnership with executive leadership and key stakeholders to translate key business updates into clear, consistent, and timely employee communications. The individual will establish a streamlined internal communications framework, bringing clarity, structure, and impact to how the company communicates with its workforce and drives employee engagement. This position requires strategic vision and operational excellence to ensure alignment between leadership and the broader organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience working with executive leadership and managing strategic communications initiatives.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences.
  • Experience leading or significantly contributing to organizational change communications.
  • Exceptional communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong project management capabilities.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing sensitive information with discretion.
  • Experience and comfort guiding /counseling senior executives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy aligned with company goals and values.
  • Be nimble and flexible, ready to evolve strategy based on leadership and employee feedback, engagement and business needs.
  • Establish a clear internal communications plan and framework, including messaging principles, voice, channels, cadence, and governance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clarity, consistency, and impact of employee communications across the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted senior communications expert and advisor/partner to SNA executive leadership and senior management.
  • Drafts, refines and manages executive messaging communications to employees including town halls, leadership updates, speeches, and internal announcements.
  • Leads the planning and delivery of major corporate announcements, organizational changes and strategic initiatives, effectively translating complex or sensitive information into clear, relevant communications for diverse employee audiences.
  • Creative and strategic lead on all high-quality internal communications content, including leadership messages, organizational updates, regular newsletters, presentations, Town Halls, and change communications.
  • Ensure messaging is consistent in tone, voice, and narrative across all internal channels.
  • Create and lead strategy for all internal communication channels (e.g., intranet, email, town halls, digital platforms).
  • Support programs and campaigns designed to enhance employee morale, recognition, and two-way feedback between leadership and staff.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations, company policies, and confidentiality standards in all internal communications.
  • Partner with Office of People and Culture, Corporate Communications, and senior business leaders across the company to align messaging and timing.
  • Act as a central point of coordination to reduce duplication and fragmentation of internal communications.
  • Provide counsel and best practices to leaders and teams contributing to employee communications, steering messaging to conform with overall SNA strategy.
  • Collaborate with Japan HQ as needed regarding cross-region and global communications.
  • Establish and track feedback, and analytic and engagement metrics to assess effectiveness of internal communications and employee engagement.
  • Create and share updates summarizing progress on all activities to executive leadership teams.
  • Gather feedback and insights to continuously refine strategy, channels, and content.
  • Stay informed on broader internal communications best practices and emerging trends across various industries.
