About The Position

Comcast Advertising is driving the TV advertising industry forward, from delivering ads to linear and digital audiences to pioneering the tech that makes it possible. We help brands connect with their audiences on every screen using advanced data, technology, and premium video content. Our media sales division helps local, regional, and national brands reach potential customers through multiscreen TV advertising. Our ad tech division FreeWheel provides comprehensive adtech that makes it easier to buy and sell premium video advertising across all screens, data types, and sales channels. The Sales Operations and Initiatives team is at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of the Media Solutions division at Comcast Advertising. This team spearheads creating and leading strategic plans for the sales teams (both long term and short term) to ensure the effective long-term growth revenue and profitability. Operationally, the Strategic Initiative team works cross-functionally with partner organizations and relevant operating groups such as sales, product, engineering, finance, HR and many more teams. The Analyst of Strategic Initiatives plays a critical role in enhancing the performance and efficiency of our sales organization. This position is responsible for supporting the successful deployment of strategic initiatives and programs within the sales team. These initiatives are based on thorough analysis and include go-to-market plans related to sales strategies, new product innovations, product enhancements, systems, and tools that align with our operating plan goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Field of Study in Business, Advertising, or Marketing.
  • Generally requires 2-5 years related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in program & project management, data analysis, and/or strategic planning & deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the creation of strategic plans for new and existing initiatives that address key challenges and opportunities.
  • Supports the execution of Sales Initiatives Performance Review and Management.
  • Defines KPIs for new initiatives and periodically reviews ongoing initiatives by monitoring KPIs.
  • Executes post-launch accountability of strategic initiatives to ensure all objectives continue to be achieved.
  • Supports the coordination initiatives with cross-functional teams to pursue growth or cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensures alignment of initiatives with organization-wide sales operations and best practices.
  • Pulls key data and creates reports based on the needs of the Sales Operations and Initiatives leaders.
  • Supports the creation and optimization of call scripts and sales playbooks for inbound and outbound BDRs.
  • Assists sales and sales development with changes and updates needed to refresh and optimize sales collateral.
  • Uncovers best practices and areas of concern in the adoption of strategy and addresses them directly with relevant leaders.
  • Maintains project reports, strategic initiative narrative and distribution of project timelines.
  • Implements sales engagement tools and technology to maximize seller efficiencies.
  • Coordinates implementing sales process optimization solutions partnered with many cross-functional partners.
  • Supports the creation, maintenance, and publishing of a sales playbook for the sales organization.
  • Gathers feedback through various channels to increase optimization.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies are being followed.
  • Coordinates readouts on areas of process optimization.
  • Supports the creation of solution options, risks, costs vs benefits and impact to business current processes and operations.
  • Maintains technical expertise and sales proficiency to meet the reporting needs on client activity.
  • Uses analytical skills and business judgment to solve problems with limited information at hand.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
  • Some domestic travel required.
  • Responsible for supporting the scoping, planning, executing, and evaluating strategic initiatives according to predetermined timelines and budgets.
  • Coordinates project teams ensuring quality control throughout the initiative life cycle.
  • Accomplishes initiative objectives by planning and evaluating project activities.
  • Coordinates with partners to develop financial and operational objectives.
  • Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives.
