About The Position

The Strategic HR Business Partner at Cigna is responsible for delivering HR solutions and expertise to the MD Live and Workplace Care organizations. This role focuses on implementing human resource strategies that support enterprise initiatives, achieve business results, and enable sustainable growth. The HRBP acts as a strategic partner, facilitating talent management, employee development, and organizational transformation while representing both the business and HR interests.

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant experience in a HRBP or COE function preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Highly effective communicator with the ability to articulate ideas clearly
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex/matrixed business and HR model
  • Strong focus on driving results and urgency in supporting business leaders
  • Credibility as a trusted advisor to leadership
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of business strategy and human capital implications
  • Experience supporting change management
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Knowledge of organizational development techniques and performance management
  • Experience in Workday preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day HR consultation to business leaders.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify key retention and engagement drivers and build proactive solutions to retain key talent.
  • Collaborate with business leaders in the development and management of functional strategic workforce plans.
  • Support the development of effective leaders within the organization, focusing on leadership needs and key themes identified in business strategy.
  • Guide leaders through talent review and succession planning activities.
  • Help leaders build strategies to close talent gaps and develop a highly effective leadership team.
  • Utilize data to identify issues and predict outcomes, partnering with leaders to recognize trends and develop recommendations.
  • Act as a change agent to support organizational change through best practice tools.
