About The Position

Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. In this role you will be responsible for providing critical financial insights, building robust models, and delivering data-driven solutions that empower strategic decision-making across Incentives Redesign and Specialism. You will also be instrumental in ensuring data integrity, fostering a culture of data excellence, and proactively partnering with executive stakeholders to drive business outcomes. The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.

  • Experience partnering with executive stakeholders, effectively communicating complex financial concepts, and influencing strategic business decisions through data-driven insights.
  • Experience working on teams that managed transformation projects.
  • Understanding of financial trends and ability to develop insightful analyses.
  • Excellent business judgment and the ability to motivate colleagues and effectively collaborate to influence senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills, with the ability to interact daily with senior leaders in GCS Ads Finance.

Responsibilities

  • Generate business insights in collaboration with Revenue Strategy and Operations (RSO), Central Strategy and Operations (CSO) and regional sales and finance leads including quarterly cadence with the International Growth team.
  • Partner with revenue program teams to inform go-to-market changes and financial implications.
  • Partner with CSO to evaluate incentive redesign across sales teams and product areas.
  • Own management reporting and special projects and Incentive Redesign.
