Strategic Finance Associate
About The Position
Join PicnicHealth as a Strategic Finance Associate on our small but mighty finance team. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you'll build the financial models, analyses, and insights that shape how we make decisions across the company. You'll partner directly with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering, not just supporting them, but actively helping them see around corners. As an early member of the Strategic Finance team, you’ll play an important role in helping scale and shape the function, developing processes, tools, and ways of working, while remaining deeply involved in execution. Requirements
- 4+ years including experience in investment banking, M&A, PE/VC and preferably 1+ years in strategic finance or FP&A
- Strong financial modeling skills: you can build from scratch, not just tweak templates
- Ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven attitude
- Comfort with ambiguity and the pace of a scaling startup
- Interest in identifying and implementing practical ways to leverage AI to automate and scale finance processes and analyses
Responsibilities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, including financial model updates, variance analysis, and reporting
- Build expertise in our financial metrics and unit economics to support data-driven decision-making across the business
- Own analyses related to unit-level cost drivers, improving cost visibility and efficiency over time
- Conduct analytical deep dives to inform decision-making across operations, and cost management as the business scales
- Support the creation of board materials and ad hoc strategic analyses
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop financial analyses, tools, and processes that support Picnic Health’s business goals
- Continuously improve our Strategic Finance toolkit as we scale

- Target Base Salary Range: $125K-$145K
- The base salary PicnicHealth offers may vary depending upon the scope, complexity, and autonomy of the position and on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- We’re a remote first company, with teammates spread across the US.
- We support in-person gatherings, including co-working spaces and multi-day onsites, to build connections and move forward strategic initiatives.
- Expect to travel 2-4 times a year.
- For our team members in the Bay Area, who prefer to work in person we can offer a hybrid set up to work from the SF office on a flexible schedule.
