As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
  • Experience executing full-cycle FP&A functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting.
  • Experience with database languages (e.g., SQL) or statistical software (e.g., R, Python).

  • Experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data, building reporting dashboards.
  • Combines strong business judgment with the ability to motivate teams and effectively influence senior stakeholders.
  • Skilled in financial modeling and trend analysis, with the communication skills necessary to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Skilled at working in an unstructured environment, navigating ambiguity, managing multiple assignments simultaneously and bringing clarity and structure as you go.
  • Track record of partnering across technical, business, and operations departments to drive results.
  • Desire to work on large, novel analytical challenges by bringing structure and clarity to highly ambiguous, unstructured environments.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business strategy and accountability across Google Customer Solutions Americas Small Business Solutions (SBS) programs, through delivery of key program insights on drivers of performance. 
  • Act as a trusted advisor primarily to the US SBS VP and SBS sales leaders from other markets on business performance, with a focus on key growth drivers. Provide thought leadership and insights on incremental revenue growth. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, specifically AMER Revenue Strategy & Ops and AMER product sales activation for an understanding of drivers of performance. Support activation of key sales strategies through regular tracking and monitoring of progress. 
  • Define financial analysis objectives and needs for your area of the business, and effectively prioritize activities.
  • Communicate insights effectively to senior audiences by simplifying technical complexity and through clear narratives focusing on the “bigger picture” and  actionable insights.
