About The Position

Under the supervision of the Deputy Director of Strategic Engagement and Impact, Strategic Engagement and Impact Coordinator supports the organization’s public relations, media, and event engagement efforts. This role assists with the development and execution of media outreach, press materials, and storytelling content designed to inform, engage, and inspire the community to support the mission of Endeavors. The Coordinator provides project coordination and logistical support for special initiatives and campaigns as well as assists with the planning and execution of events and engagement activities that help elevate awareness of the organization, its programs, and the people it serves.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, a related field.
  • 3+ years' experience in a public relations, communications, or marketing role.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills.
  • Strong understanding of mechanics of media pitches to include press releases, requests for coverage, and media alerts.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns.
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer’s sole discretion.
  • Driver’s License with clear record.
  • Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
  • Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying, creating, and telling effective, compelling stories that resonate with the appropriate target audience.
  • Organize press kit materials for media outlets, including press releases, images, videos, pitch letters, case studies, feature articles, and trend stories.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of interviews and other media and event opportunities.
  • Coordinate with contracted consultants on PR pitches and subsequent opportunities.
  • Coordinate earned media with relations/media persons for brand and corporate issues.
  • Collaborate to co-draft key messages and responses to various inquiries in a timely manner to determine appropriate media responses via various channels.
  • Develop, or assist with the development of written materials including press releases, fact sheets, media alerts, media Q&As, op-eds, and more.
  • Manage media outreach to ensure media contacts are nurtured and updated.
  • Seek out opportunities to proactively pitch brand and corporate stories as appropriate.
  • Identify and promote brand, mission, and program champions inside and outside the organization.
  • Ensure consistent Endeavors brand and communication messaging and positions, and consistent with Endeavors adherence to all earned media.
  • Represent Endeavors on the Endeavors-owned or controlled media.
  • Other duties as assigned.
