About The Position

The Strategic Capacity Manager (SCM) is responsible for the strategic oversight of the assigned capacity network and the execution of shipments. This role involves managing carrier relationships, collaborating with the Capacity Operations team, and supporting production teams to optimize the carrier network and ensure service metrics are met.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a sales team within a hyper-growth environment, specifically in the logistics industry.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to influence and lead team members towards a common goal.
• Strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual candidates preferred, specifically in Punjab, Russian, or Hindi.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of assigned carriers and foster relationships to meet service metrics.
• Collaborate with production teams to plan for supply/demand needs for assigned carriers.
• Create and report key performance measures (KPIs, market conditions, available capacity) for assigned carriers.
• Conduct carrier visits to review KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in resolving operational and financial issues for assigned carriers.
• Assess contractual lanes and identify new opportunities for optimized capacity.
• Review performance on contracted lines and present new capacity opportunities as needed.
• Drive participation in Monthly internal Capacity Mini Bid (RFP) with assigned carriers.
• Establish costs for RFP opportunities with assigned carriers.
• Monitor and maintain rate uniformity for assigned carriers across verticals.
• Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with assigned carriers to ensure growth and service levels.
• Maintain carrier information in the Carrier CRM.
