As the Strategic Alumni Engagement and Client Relations Co-op, you will provide wholistic support to Goodwin’s Alumni Program within the Client Development Department. The Co-op on this team will assist in enhancing the firm’s alumni relations program and work across all legal industries and practices within the firm to play a key role in a number of Goodwin alumni-focused and client-facing initiatives.

Requirements

  • Prior experience (co-op or internship) in a marketing, or in a professional services environment strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational capabilities; strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while prioritizing assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills with particular attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills, including web-based research, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Interested in learning new things, including new software and processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in given situations and successfully handle and secure confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, execution and evaluation of strategic alumni client development projects, marketing activities, and special events/client opportunities that support the alumni program.
  • Draft internal and external content promoting alumni initiatives and events, including the alumni year-in-review, alumni newsletter, event recaps, announcements, and social media posts.
  • Update the firm’s internal contact databases with alumni updates, including the Goodwin Alumni Community Portal.
  • Research legal and industry-specific projects with a focus on alumni, clients, companies.
  • Gather newsworthy and relevant alumni information to promote on social media and include in the alumni newsletter.
