About The Position

The Strategic Account Technical Manager at ChemTreat is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with the company's most significant customers in the industrial water treatment sector. This role focuses on fostering long-term customer loyalty and enhancing profitability and growth for both ChemTreat and its clients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical and business knowledge of the refining industry, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in building successful cross-functional teams. The position involves understanding refinery operations and delivering strategic solutions to meet customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline.
  • Minimum of ten years' experience in the refining industry, either in strategic sales or engineering.
  • Proven track record of generating at least $5MM in new business.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical and analytical skills, along with business knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize all available resources to identify gaps between current operations and industry standards.
  • Learn customer operations and understand their challenges to minimize potential failures.
  • Articulate high-level proficiency with water treatment technology and account management.
  • Coordinate account-level technical execution aligned with ChemTreat recommendations.
  • Communicate identified gaps and costs of implementation to stakeholders.
  • Build a cohesive team among field operations, technical services, and corporate sales.
  • Be accountable for the implementation and results of programs and services.
  • Develop internal benchmarking and share best practices among refineries.
  • Train customers and ChemTreat associates as required.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships through business and social events.
