The Strategic Account Manager serves as the primary contact for assigned clients and/or Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) with the goal of delivering the complete EHIM experience. This role is pivotal in executing detailed, comprehensive, and accurate group/TPA implementations, as well as conducting group/TPA strategy meetings aimed at client retention. The Strategic Account Manager is expected to process reports, interpret data and analytics comprehensively, and present detailed reporting to clients/TPAs along with actionable plans and recommendations that align with EHIM's corporate philosophies. This position requires the ability to tackle challenging questions that necessitate in-depth review, analysis, evaluation, and detailed preparation. The responsibilities of the Strategic Account Manager include managing all aspects of the account relationship, which encompasses retention, client satisfaction, strategic business planning, client performance reviews, evaluations, and report delivery and interpretation. The role involves initiating and participating in pharmacy benefits strategy development with clients (brokers/TPAs) to position EHIM within the clients' healthcare strategy, focusing on retention and the addition of value-added services. The Strategic Account Manager will coordinate deliverables for current clients in an RFP situation and manage the discovery and solution development process. Additionally, the Strategic Account Manager must understand key players, competitors, trends, and customer needs, as well as EHIM's potential and market share within the targeted industry and account base. Effective communication of current healthcare trends and issues and their potential impact on client strategies is essential. The role requires interfacing and facilitating communications with appropriate leaders within EHIM to help problem-solve or support new service offerings. The Strategic Account Manager will also establish a link between EHIM's capabilities and the customer's business strategy, ensuring that client intentions and expectations are effectively communicated to the internal team that supports service delivery. The position demands a high degree of professionalism and effectiveness in the account management process, utilizing summaries of understanding, business reviews, and value analysis. The Strategic Account Manager will serve as the single point of contact for an assigned base of established clients/TPAs, maintaining relationships while responding to inquiries, requests, and concerns. Regular check-ins with clients and agents, as well as the preparation and presentation of pharmacy renewals or quarterly client reviews, are also key responsibilities. Mentoring and setting examples in accordance with EHIM's corporate culture to other representatives assigned to accounts is expected, along with the preparation of monthly status reports and other required documentation. The Strategic Account Manager should demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond day-to-day responsibilities and assist in other areas or activities when necessary to achieve collective goals or satisfy client requests.
