The Strategic Accounts group leads Proofpoint’s sales and account management efforts into the largest, most complex, commercial enterprises in the world. Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) are topflight, consultative, enterprise information technology sales professionals. Strategic Account Managers are adept at designing and executing account plans that maximize Proofpoint’s sales success and ensure high customer satisfaction. The role requires skilled interaction at all levels within assigned account’s information technology, legal and procurement organizations. SAMs are results oriented. They possess strong business acumen, maintain a solid sales pipeline, deliver accurate forecast to management, close sales, and demonstrate skilled verbal and written communication ability. SAMs are part of a regional sale structure and report to a Regional Sales Director. The candidate must reside in Illinois.
