About The Position

Hearst Connecticut Media Group is investing in its sales force, and we want you to be a part of it! We are looking for a digitally savvy, highly motivated Strategic Account Executive to join our advertising team. As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be responsible for developing and managing a sales pipeline and building new business relationships with Franchises. You will work with your customers to promote compelling solutions that best fit their marketing needs. As an advocate for the customer within the Hearst Connecticut Media Group, the role works in cooperation with other departments to ensure we can meet and exceed customer expectations both in performance and process. Hearst Newspapers operates on a hybrid work week schedule.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of B2B sales in advertising & media with a proven track record of overachieving revenue goals.
  • Ability to navigate organizations' decision making process to drive sales.
  • Success in new business acquisition.
  • Strategic selling and multi threading within the organization and agency.
  • Superior presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Technically savvy with experience in Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect local medium to large sized businesses to show the value of our suite of digital media products.
  • Generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and prospecting.
  • Own the sales cycle with support from the local Customer success team.
  • Become an expert on our digital and traditional products/services.
  • Implement marketing strategies and deliver effective sales presentations.
  • Create engaging advertising solutions to solve clients' business needs.
  • Recommend new products and promotional opportunities to current clients.
  • Manage client pipeline and monthly revenue forecast in Salesforce.com.
