About The Position

Eurofins Food Chemistry Madison is looking for a Strategic Account Executive (SAE) to join our growing team. The SAE will be responsible for maintaining the health of client relationships, ensuring retention and organic growth. This role requires proactive identification of account issues and collaboration with various team members to resolve them. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in client management, meeting sales targets, and delivering exceptional customer experiences. The position involves working in a new ISO 17025 accredited laboratory specializing in food chemistry testing, including infant formula, dietary supplements, and more.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3-4 years technical sales experience or 7+ years relevant experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • CRM experience
  • Proven strong performance in managing and growing client relationships
  • Ability to work with others to resolve issues and develop solutions
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new tasks and think critically
  • Enthusiastic and socially poised with the ability to develop positive relationships
  • Ability to travel 25% minimally

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
  • Owns the Health of the Client Relationship, including quoting, onboarding, testing inquiries, problem solving, and cross-selling services
  • Partners with Commercial peers to ensure positive client experience and outcomes
  • Plans and executes a sales strategy for assigned clients to increase sales year over year
  • Proactively communicates with management regarding client concerns and large testing needs
  • Builds undeveloped accounts and increases overall revenue in the territory
  • Ensures contract terms are met based on revenue, TAT, pricing, etc.
  • Meets and exceeds established sales goals and reports to sales management
  • Develops forecast plans for each account and aligns with internal departments
  • Maintains awareness of competitor pricing
  • Conducts market research to understand opportunities
  • Develops market strategy and marketing promotional decisions
  • Partners with marketing for support
  • Develops sales relationships by providing product information and responding to customer service issues
  • Communicates with the credit team regarding payment terms
  • Ensures proper communication between sales, credit, and shipping teams
  • Works with legal/contracts team to understand and create contracts
  • Performs regulatory requirement activities
  • Gathers required documentation and partners with documentation team
  • Provides technical information and support
  • Sets up and maintains files and folders for customer documents
  • Learns and executes order entry and related processes
  • Complies with all safety and cGMP requirements
  • Completes other tasks as assigned
