About The Position

HUB International is seeking to add a Strategic Account Executive to their Commercial Lines team! The Strategic Account Executive will develop new business relationships and insurance solutions for existing HUB clients and look to expand our client coverages through cross-sell and upsell of various HUB products and lines of business. They will be responsible for identifying client needs, educating clients of the organization’s full scope of insurance offerings, and maintaining a high skill level with client relations. The Strategic Account Executive will also work with internal stakeholders to raise awareness of company offerings and initiate new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Five plus years of progressively responsible experience in an independent commercial lines insurance agency required OR similar years of related work experience dealing directly with commercial insurance coverages
  • Possess state insurance licensure as required by the Ohio State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions as necessary in the state of Ohio OR be willing/able to obtain required licensure within the first 90 days of employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance and specialty insurance products
  • Strong understanding and comfort using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior insurance sales or account management experience is highly preferred
  • A demonstrated ability to successfully cross sell and up sell insurance products is highly preferred
  • College degree preferred.
  • Existing knowledge of Applied Epic is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Identify existing client needs, educate clients on other available insurance products and encourage the sale of company products
  • Apply and maintain superior client relations skills with new and existing HUB clients
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to set and achieve cross-sell goals
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand our existing client book of business and identify cross-sell opportunities across the business
  • Maintain a high-level knowledge base of all HUB products and product lines
  • Develop new business from existing accounts in the form of account rounding, cross-selling, upselling and referral opportunities and contribute to meeting departmental production goals
  • Coordinate the implementation of the client’s strategic plan
  • Remain aware of industry changes and trends that may impact your clients
  • Engage in Critical Path and stewardship meetings.
  • Attend EB/P&C sales meetings and client meetings to present and pursue growth opportunities
  • Attend industry related continuing education training and courses
