About The Position

Provides customer service within a defined customer base while conferring with necessary departments across the organization to ensure customer expectations are met.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solves problems and makes decisions independently and proactively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Bachelor's degree; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. at times.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Valid driver's license as required by manager

Responsibilities

  • Manages customer base and provides service that meets or exceed expectations.
  • Coordinates with various departments in order to develop and maintain profitable traffic lanes.
  • Solicits outbound freight for both primary and secondary lanes.
  • Enters available loads with all required information to properly dispatch and pick up the load, create the freight bill, and supply the customer with any necessary EDI information.
  • Schedules loading and unloading appointments in order to meet customer requirements and to maximize driver productivity.
  • Monitors all customer specific loads for service issues from the time the load is tendered until it is delivered.
  • Discusses customer issues and concerns with the appropriate operations and sales departments when necessary.
  • Monitors customer specific trailer poos and confers with appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Reviews customer scorecards with customer development leaders and makes recommendations accordingly.
  • Manages multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Receives and carries out instructions.
  • Manages regular and predictable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
