Straight Truck Driver
About The Position
Operate commercial vehicles transferring donation containers and/or processed goods in a safe and efficient manner. Essential FunctionsDrive commercial vehicles to designated locations including, but not limited to, inner city traffic.Drive and maintain company vehicles in a safe, efficient manner.Transport donation containers from ADS site to plant or outside stores.Transport processed goods to outlying stores.Transport waste to transfer station.Pick up special donations and deliver goods as requested.Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.Demonstrate safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.Adhere to Seattle Goodwill and DOT rules and regulations.Perform the functions of production worker when needed.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 2 year driving experience
- current WA state driver’s license
- Must be able to pass Pre-Employment drug and alcohol test.
- Lifting and carrying 30 – 40 pounds
- Developed fine motor control (grasp, handle, manipulate objects with fingers
- Standing for long periods of time
- frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, squatting, pushing
- climbing ladders.
- Able to travel across a variety of surfaces (stairs, ramps, uneven terrain).
- Organizing, sorting, categorizing, counting, adding, subtracting
