About The Position

The position involves implementing all company and division policies to achieve maximum sales and profits in the produce departments. The role requires flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. A comprehensive understanding of all key components of department operations is essential, including managing people, merchandising, computer-assisted ordering, inventory management, shrink control, customer services, labor scheduling, and expense control. The position demands effective communication skills with employees, customers, and supervision, as well as the ability to react quickly to changing priorities and demands.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Supervise salad bar operations and ensure proper training of department employees.

  • Make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, and evaluating produce department personnel.
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of the produce department.
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness in all areas of the department.
  • Analyze and make recommendations for improvements in department operations.
