About The Position

The Stormwater Specialist position involves responsible administrative work within the Engineering Department, focusing on stormwater management. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two to three years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support work.
• Considerable knowledge of modern office terminology, methods, practices, and procedures.
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritize work assignments.

• Experience in stormwater management or environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complex administrative reports, correspondence, and internal memorandums.
• Generates and closes out work orders for the Stormwater Department.
• Investigates, documents, and reports stormwater violations and determines enforcement action.
• Functions as a customer service liaison between customers and the solid waste contractor.
• Acts as receptionist, answering telephones and directing callers to the appropriate personnel.
• Conducts research and collects data from various sources to produce reports.
• Serves as a liaison on human resources and payroll services for department employees.
• Maintains detailed and accurate records for regulatory agencies.
• Executes purchase orders authorized by the department director.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
