We are seeking an experienced Stormwater Engineering Specialist to lead green stormwater infrastructure (GSI) projects for public and private clients local to Philadelphia and across the Mid-Atlantic region. This role combines technical leadership with project management, ensuring successful delivery from planning through construction.

Requirements

  • Education: B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (M.S. preferred)
  • Experience: 8+ years in water, wastewater, and/or stormwater projects, with demonstrated GSI expertise
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania preferred or ability to obtain within one year
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including budgets, schedules, staff, and client interface
  • Strong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS tools, and stormwater modeling
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare reports and deliver presentations
  • Familiarity with green infrastructure best practices, climate adaptation strategies, and regulatory compliance

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of MS4 compliance, Atlas 14 rainfall data, and emerging stormwater regulations
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management training

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute projects involving green stormwater infrastructure with elements of water and wastewater including planning, design, and construction phases
  • Lead multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Develop and review project scope, schedules, and budgets; monitor progress against baselines
  • Provide technical leadership in GSI design (e.g., bioretention, bioswales, permeable pavements, tree trenches) and stormwater management strategies
  • Maintain strong client relationships and represent the company in stakeholder meetings and public outreach
  • Ensure compliance with regional regulations, including MS4 permitting, stormwater ordinances, and climate resilience standards
