About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Stormwater Engineer to join our team. This role will provide leadership in the planning, analysis, design, and permitting of stormwater systems that support residential, commercial, and regional development projects. The Senior Engineer will mentor junior staff, lead client engagement, and ensure delivery of high-quality, technically sound stormwater solutions. The following responsibilities will be required for this position: Utilize GIS and advanced modeling tools to map and assess existing hydrologic and hydraulic site conditions. Prepare FEMA Letters of Map Revision (LOMRs) and Conditional LOMRs (CLOMRs). Perform detailed compensating storage and floodplain calculations to ensure regulatory compliance. Develop and deploy 2D hydraulic models to analyze complex flow dynamics and infrastructure impacts. Conduct regional watershed and flood studies to support large-scale planning and permitting efforts. Analyze post-development conditions to confirm stormwater system performance and infrastructure capacity. Evaluate BMPs and treatment systems for nutrient load reduction. Prepare and manage stormwater management and environmental permit applications. Provide conceptual plan reviews and early-phase input to guide drainage strategy. Advise on compliance with evolving state stormwater rules and regulatory updates. Develop creative, technically sound solutions for complex or constrained sites. Visit project sites as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Active Florida PE license required.
  • 8+ years of experience in stormwater design, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and permitting.
  • Extensive knowledge of FEMA, FDEP, and local stormwater regulations.
  • Proficiency with advanced stormwater modeling software and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Proven experience leading stormwater design projects and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Strong technical writing, client engagement, and project management skills.
