Verdantas is seeking a driven Environmental Scientist Intern for Summer 2026 at our San Ramon, CA location. This internship offers hands-on exposure to projects that make a tangible impact, along with mentorship from a collaborative team that values innovation and curiosity. You’ll gain practical experience in problem-solving, design, and development, while building a strong foundation for your future career in engineering. Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work individually and in a team environment
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to independently seek answers to questions
- Must be able to write effectively and articulate outcomes to clients and team members
- Valid driver's license
- A positive attitude and desire to learn
Nice To Haves
- Relevant internship, co-op, and/or classwork experience
- Experience in ArcMap/ArcGIS
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Responsibilities
- Field work and administrative support for both stormwater and construction teams
- Assisting with site visits
- Observe and assist in simple soil, groundwater, or soil vapor sampling projects
- Researching, collecting, and entering data
- Playing a key role in delivering an above-and-beyond experience for our clients
