About The Position

The Stores Supervisor manages and operates a functioning stockroom. To support teaching and research activities of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

Requirements

• Associates Degree or a combination of military experience or five (5) years of experience in the procurement, storage, issue, and accounting for property.
• One (1) year in a supervisory capacity.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree or higher.
• Science, preferably chemistry, background.

Responsibilities

• Purchase merchandise.
• Issue requisitions for items obtainable under State Contract.
• Supervise the maintenance of record, pricing of supplies and billing for goods.
• Supervise and support stockroom work-study students and staff schedules and duties.
• Receive, inspect, and facilitate delivery of materials to end users.
• Supervise and manage the inventory of supplies in stockroom, prepare reports of stockroom sales and activity.
• Work with Environmental Health and Safety to maintain an accurate database of chemical inventory and provide containers for hazardous chemical waste disposal.
• Refill cryogenic cylinders.
• Other related functions as assigned.
