For more information, please visit our website at www.sunchemical.com or connect with us on LinkedIn or Twitter The Stores Coordinator will be responsible for the management of Storeroom activities including, but not limited to, inventory counts, receiving and ordering of materials, add to stock assignments, issuance of Stores stocks for maintenance work, procuring quotations for non-stock items, and assisting in the development of new vendors for the site. This position will also serve as a backup to the Maintenance Planner in the capacity of issuing work orders for emergency, schedule breaking work, and maintaining the schedule provided by the planner while the planner is out of the office. This role will be required to support the maintenance team remotely when the maintenance team is called out for after hours service should a part need to be located within stores.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required. Two year technical degree is a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in an industrial operations setting.
  • A highly motivated, self-driven individual with a continuous-improvement mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision and with cross-functional self-managed teams.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to balance responsibilities for given priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically in order to provide timely and effective solutions.
  • SAP experience, specifically maintenance and procurement transactions is a plus
  • Knowledge of surface metal/non-metal mining practices with MSHA experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze cause-effect relationships and drive to root cause for directed improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in meetings for the purpose of communication within the department and to other departments regarding the status of activities for which this position is responsible.
  • Execute Storeroom related activities (issuance of parts, inventory reconciliation, stock counts, ordering replacement parts, receipt of deliveries, critical parts reviews)
  • Miscellaneous administrative duties (mail collection, distribution)
  • Assist maintenance in finding non-stock items and evaluation of adding components to stock
  • Assist in various EHS responsibilities (annual waste shipments, maintenance equipment inspection, etc.)
