Familiarize oneself with all standard purchase specifications as established by Management, and be able to evaluate the delivered merchandise as to quality and quantity Date all incoming merchandise Break open cases of merchandise, make a detailed check of contents as to weights and amounts, and verify receipt of merchandise with delivery invoice Report any errors or problems with merchandise to the Purchasing Commissary Supervisor and/or Manager before accepting Consolidate and rotate stock using first in, first out system Keep storage areas, walk-in refrigerators and freezers in accordance with regulations of the sanitation and safety code Issue stock as requested Organize and maintain a proper flow of Commissary paperwork Attach invoices to purchase orders and turn in to office at end of each day Assist in monthly inventory counting Secure all storage areas when leaving Familiarize oneself with standards of sanitation and safety Assist in kitchen in lifting cases of merchandise when needed Must have a NYS driver's license free of any infractions/violations Ensure quality customer service when confronting customers as well as vendors Drive in a safe and cautious manner at all times, obeying the 15 mile per hour campus street and 5 mile per hour campus sidewalk speed limit Follow procedures and policies set forth Will be cross trained to run the register in multiple locations. May be called upon at times to perform other related tasks not included in this description
