In this role you will be: Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of medical supplies and equipment. Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile physical counts with inventory records. Track usage patterns and notify supervisors of potential shortages or overstock situations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the hospital’s inventory management system. Assist with receiving shipments and verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders. Inspect incoming items for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel. Stock shelves and supply carts in designated storage areas according to departmental protocols. Label, organize, and rotate inventory to ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO). Pick, pack, and deliver supplies to various hospital departments based on requisitions and scheduled deliveries. Respond to urgent supply requests in a timely and efficient manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the supply room or central stock area. Input inventory transactions into computerized systems (e.g., Lawson, PeopleSoft, or other ERP software). Generate and review reports to assist with purchasing and inventory forecasting. Maintain documentation for inventory transactions, discrepancies, and returned goods. Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines when handling supplies and materials. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures related to materials management and supply chain practices. Participate in departmental audits and assist with inventory control improvements.
