About The Position

Mars Petcare is seeking a Storeroom Coordinator to join our exciting pet food business at a manufacturing plant in Auroa, NE. We focus on the unique needs of cats and dogs. As a member of the Reliability Team, this position provides direction and leadership for all assets, purchasing, and storeroom activity for the manufacturing site. The role will improve the site’s store room systems in order to reduce site maintenance and reliability cost while decreasing stockroom parts inventory with asset identification. The Role will ensure the stockroom supply meets the PM Plan and will maintain the desired reliability that is needed for the facilities expectations. Maximize the stockroom and assets in performing the weekly cycle counts and monthly storeroom value. The Role will maintain the asset database with input from engineering and project management with the installation of new equipment and processes. This position will also perform the procurement of all things for the site including MRO/storeroom, plant expense, and capital purchases.

Requirements

  • Strong operational knowledge of manufacturing processes & equipment
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Business process application with SAP
  • Asset accountability
  • Advanced computer skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook Email, SAP, Internet
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, internet software, e-mail.
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and networking capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience in reliability at Mars or equivalent experience elsewhere
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely
  • Understanding of major functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with all levels and functions
  • Have full mobility with the ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the site’s Asset Database
  • Work with reliability manager and finance co-pilot to process asset retirements
  • Work with reliability manager and finance co-pilot to capitalize new assets
  • Point insurance concerning the value of the plant’s assets
  • Period ending KPI reporting
  • Maintain the Storeroom inventory and help PM planner ensure equipment BOMs are correct
  • Maintain Storeroom SAP program
  • Use SAP, Pcard, and Ariba to procure all expense and capital items for the site
  • Networking within the segment and across segment
  • Develop daily, weekly, monthly and spending for spare parts
  • Audit cycle counts – 98% annually
  • Point person for CVS Leaders and maintenance leaders when adding new parts inventory to the facility
  • Remove dead stock quarterly
  • Coach for the storeroom for the facility
  • Storeroom cost owner
  • Storeroom leader of the PM Pillar
  • Be a self-starter
  • Period meeting with customers on stock-outs
  • Adding the correct inventory with customers quarterly
  • Utilize stocking tools to help with business decisions
  • Daily/Weekly Communication with site and category initiative resources
  • Assist Maintenance Planner and Receivables Technician in kitting parts for WO’s
  • Help with master data issues for initiatives or with ongoing products
  • Calculate and communicate storeroom value by period
  • The ability to handle multiple priorities and complexity
  • Flow to work as needed to meet the business need
  • Other job duties as assigned by site leadership
