About The Position

The primary purpose of your job is to assist in providing equipment and supplies in an efficient manner, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the administrator, to assure that the highest degree of resident care can be always maintained. As a Storeroom Clerk, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties. ABOUT CHARLES E. LOCATION This position is based on campus, mainly based in our Wasserman Building located at 6121 Montrose Road in Rockville, Maryland. SHIFTS & STATUS This is a full time, Non-Exempt position on the Monday- Friday shift with hours from 7:30AM to 4:00PM.

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent is preferred.
  • Warehouse, inventory, in bound and out bound logistics, vehicle driving and computer proficiency necessary.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors and the public.
  • Must possess the ability to minimize waste of supplies and misuse of equipment.
  • Must be able to effectively follow written, electronic, and oral instructions.
  • Must not pose a threat to the health or safety of other individuals within the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate the importance of Central Supply’s role in the receiving, inspection and verification of deliveries to the Home from outside vendors/Notify Materials Management of any discrepancies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge on how to issue supplies to Nursing Units departments through the generation of transfer process within Smart PO software.
  • Perform physical inventories on a regular cadence.
  • Transport residents throughout campus.
  • Demonstrate knowledge on how to process inbound /outgoing mail and parcel logistics across campus. Utilizing the postage machine in Central Supply.
  • Demonstrate the process of verifying packing slips to actual inbound deliveries from vendors.
  • Responsible for getting company vehicles to repair shop when needed.
  • Attend scheduled staff meetings to provide and obtain updates with the department and the organization.
