About The Position

The Storeroom Clerk participates in a variety of activities involving the receipt, storage, distribution of supplies and equipment required to maintain hospital operations. May have access to areas where medications are stored and/or prepared for purposes of fulfilling job duties. This position plays a critical role in supporting Augusta Health’s mission and advancing departmental goals through measurable performance indicators and service excellence. This position contributes to a collaborative, patient-centered environment and helps drive outcomes aligned with organizational priorities.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Licensure/Certification: None
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of supply chain or similar work experience.
  • Driver's License: N/A
  • Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Work involves working holidays, weekends, and evenings.
  • Overtime is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Checks expiration dates of supplies
  • Enters patient charges
  • Completes inventory process and delivers supplies according to priority
  • Enters supply requisitions
  • Affixes patient charge labels to medical supplies prior to distribution
  • Assists in conducting physical inventory
  • Maintains mental and physical conditioning to perform duties.
  • Punctual Attendance
  • Maintains a good rapport with the Medical Staff, Public, Patients, and Employees
  • Team Participation
  • Communicates with Operations Coordinator inventory variances
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment
  • Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, and safety programs
