About The Position

The Store Clerk will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store, and assisting with inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and outgoing personality, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Store Clerk will work in a stockroom and warehouse environment and may be required to stand for extended periods of time. The position requires working days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Communication: communicates clearly and concisely.
  • Interpersonal Skills: able to work effectively with other employees, supervisors, and external parties.
  • Four essential qualities are critical thinking skills, attention to detail, flexibility and integrity.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematics, such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
  • Ability to stand, walk and sit on a frequent basis.
  • Physical requirements also include pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, bending, twisting, climbing steps and ladders.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate reports through written and verbal means.
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 40 pounds without assistance from others.
  • Works flexible and rotating shifts when required.
  • The role typically requires movement around the warehouse floor.
  • Must be capable of understanding and adhering to all safety policies and follow GMP standards as required.
  • Must be capable of learning the fundamentals of Storeroom operations and how to use current software programs being used.
  • Work schedule 8hr shift; 7:00am – 3:30pm (Must be flexible to change as needed)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Stock Clerk is helpful but not required
  • Prior retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Transport packages from the plant shipping office to the Storeroom.
  • Transport packages to dock for shipping.
  • Prepare packages for shipment including recording and maintaining shipping data.
  • Perform inventory counts and record updates as needed.
  • Assist customers in locating spare parts and supplies as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workplace at all times.
  • Assists in receiving, tracking and issuing spare parts and supplies.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking of products
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Utilize computer systems provided to locate and record spare parts data.
  • Functions of clerks include data entry, reporting, record keeping, and reconciliation
