About The Position

The Storekeeper position at Entergy Louisiana, LLC involves receiving, picking, packing, and shipping materials from the distribution warehouse. The role requires the use of powered industrial lift trucks and electric pallet jacks, as well as performing housekeeping duties as part of the job function. This position supports both the Houma and Raceland Service Centers, necessitating travel between the two sites. Candidates outside the area are expected to relocate for this role, but relocation assistance is not available. Candidates will be placed as Storekeeper I, II, or Senior based on their previous experience and demonstrated success.

Requirements

• Storekeeper I: 0+ years of previous storeroom experience.
• Storekeeper II: 2+ years of previous storeroom experience.
• Storekeeper Sr: 4+ years of previous storeroom experience.
• Must be able to manually lift 50 lbs and operate powered industrial lift truck and/or electric pallet jacks.
• Demonstrate some knowledge of stores concepts and methods.
• Familiar with nomenclature of electrical materials.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Some problem-solving ability to resolve material inaccuracies.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick and pack material manually of up to 50 lbs.
• Utilize mechanical equipment for heavier material.
• Process material returned from the field.
• Perform accurate inventory counts and problem solve to reconcile inventory differences.
• Unload material, inspect for damage, and accurately count to complete the receiving process.
• Put away materials in proper bin locations.
• Utilize RF handheld equipment or paper pick list to accurately locate and pull required material.
• Perform basic computer functions (entry, lookup, etc.).
• Print and apply appropriate shipping labels.
• Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and lean initiatives and requirements.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by superintendent.
