About The Position

Florida Power & Light Company is looking for a Storekeeper 1 to join their team in Destin, Florida. The Storekeeper I will perform any work normally required in this classification, including but not limited to ordering, receiving, stocking, picking, issuing, counting, rigging, shipment preparation, along with maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment that is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and good driving history.
• Ability to walk, lift, carry, and pull heavy objects.
• Ability to use hand tools and operate a portable band-saw.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
• Good depth perception and ability to wear a safety harness.
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management software.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive, stock, pick, issue, and count inventory.
• Prepare shipments and maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment.
• Operate multiple motorized equipment including forklifts and stock pickers.
• Work in extreme weather conditions and at heights of approximately 30+ feet.
• Exhibit attention to detail and self-motivation in all business dealings.
• Communicate with vendors over the phone and other software.
