About The Position

The County of San Luis Obispo Sheriff's Office is seeking candidates to fill a part-time Storekeeper I vacancy. Storekeeper I is part of a career series for Storekeeper I and II. Classes in this series perform a variety of duties in County stores facilities, such as ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing commissary orders to inmates; maintaining accurate inventory and accounting records; and doing other related work as required. Under general supervision a Storekeeper I performs a variety of duties in the ordering, receipt, storage and issuance of supplies; may direct the work of stock clerks in performing routine duties or in the absence of stores supervision. Employees in this position will be required to work in and around the county jail.

Requirements

• Six months of experience in the ordering, receiving, storing and issuing of supplies.
• Experience in basic computer operations.
• A valid driver's license is required at the time of application.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse and/or inventory control experience.
• Experience with computer/database programs.
