About The Position

Summary Store Workers serve in one or more commissary store departments, performing a variety of duties involved in receiving, handling, marking, preparing, displaying, and maintaining the stock of resale items. This role is essential for ensuring that the store operates smoothly and that customers have access to quality products.

Requirements

• Ability to do the Work of the Position Without More than Normal Supervision.
• Dexterity and Safety Work Practices (includes keeping things neat, clean and in order).
• Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (other than blueprints).
• Knowledge of Materials.
• Technical Practice.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in ensuring the proper care and handling of resale grocery items.
• Experience in locating items for customers.
• Experience in rotating stock, stacking containers, and participating in inventories.
• Experience in operating a computer system to calculate prices and label merchandise.
• Experience in arranging stock on shelves and in displays.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining adequate stock of resale items.
• Identifying any obvious spoilage, damage, and out-of-date merchandise.
• Receiving supplies, equipment, and resale items.
• Operating a computer system that calculates and marks prices, and determines weights of merchandise.
• Transporting items to shelving and display areas.
