About The Position
The Salvation Army Thrift Store located in Rolla, Missouri, is seeking a dedicated Store Worker to join our team. This part-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about customer service and are willing to engage in various tasks that support the operations of a thrift store. The Store Worker will be responsible for performing all functions associated with the thrift store, which includes interacting with customers, handling donated and purchased items, and maintaining the store's cleanliness and organization. The role requires physical labor, as the Store Worker will be lifting and carrying items, sorting through donations, pricing merchandise, and preparing items for display on the sales floor. Additionally, the Store Worker will operate a cash register, process transactions, and ensure accurate cash handling by counting and reconciling the cash drawer at the end of each day. The position is expected to promote positive relationships with customers and staff, ensuring a welcoming environment for all. The Store Worker will also assist in loading and unloading items from the store's truck and customers' vehicles, perform custodial duties to maintain a clean store environment, and follow any additional instructions from supervisors. This position is part-time, requiring approximately 25 hours of work per week, with a starting pay of $13.00 per hour. Candidates should be prepared to engage in a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall mission of The Salvation Army, which is to meet human needs without discrimination.
