The Store Warehouse Associate supports the operational and customer service needs of the branch by accurately handling inventory, assisting customers with orders and product loading, and completing deliveries as assigned. This role works closely with the Store Manager and team members to ensure efficient operations, customer satisfaction, and store profitability.

  • Receive, stock, pick, and ship materials accurately and efficiently.
  • Load and unload trucks; inspect products for damage or defects and process returns per vendor SOPs.
  • Assist in preparing for and conducting store audits and physical inventories.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized counter, warehouse, and delivery area
  • Complete customer deliveries using company vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections using Samsara (or other approved vehicle inspection log).
  • Use Innovo (or other delivery software) to manage customer manifests and delivery documentation.
  • Represent J. Lorber Company positively at customer sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Assist customers with product loading, ensuring safety and care.
  • Provide accurate and timely information regarding product availability and transfer requests.
  • Handle returns and defective material processing with professionalism and accuracy.
  • Support customer service at the counter and over the phone, as directed by the Store Manager.
  • Work cooperatively with the Store Manager and associates to achieve store goals.
  • Provide feedback on operational improvements and participate in company-directed training.
  • Represent J. Lorber Company in a professional and ethical manner, maintaining a positive reputation in the community.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1+ year of warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
  • Prior customer service or retail experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with coworkers, customers, and vendors.
  • Basic computer proficiency; ERP or Eclipse experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with logistics and delivery platforms (e.g., Innovo, Samsara, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
  • Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs; move up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment (up to 300 lbs with aid of pallet jack).
  • Ability to climb into truck cabs and onto truck beds safely when assisting with deliveries.
