About The Position

The Store Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a Goodwill retail store, ensuring that all store goals are met and that Goodwill standards are upheld. This role involves managing various aspects of the store, including financial performance, safety, customer service, and employee training, while collaborating with other departments to align with the organization's mission and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of five years' progressive business experience, with retail experience preferred.
  • Three to five years of supervisory experience.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business documents and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and sales volumes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the fiscal, operational, people, and loss prevention functions of assigned stores.
  • Achieve budgeted revenue goals and maintain compliance with safety standards.
  • Train store team members on Goodwill operating policies and safety programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns appropriately.
  • Submit required information on production, labor distribution, and safety in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with People Resources on employee relations issues to ensure fair practices.
  • Implement and adhere to loss prevention programs and standards.
  • Ensure proper processing of donations and maintain stock levels of merchandise.
  • Conduct interviews, select, and onboard new team members.
  • Prepare employee schedules and manage staffing within payroll budget constraints.
  • Conduct performance reviews for team members and provide training for growth.
  • Ensure safe work practices and maintain a clean and organized facility.
  • Communicate effectively with store team, program participants, and customers.
  • Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and IT for equipment and system issues.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned to contribute to the effectiveness of the store.
