We make it easy for customers to affordably treat themselves with most items priced under $5 and a selection of extreme value items priced above $5. pOpshelf stores offer a trendy and rotating selection of seasonal, houseware, home décor, health, beauty, paper and party products, in addition to assorted candy, snacks, games, electronics and additional items.

  • Support the Store Team Leader in planning and implementing store processes including ordering, receiving, stocking, merchandising, and customer support.
  • Provide superior customer service to exceed customer expectations and support a customer-first store culture.
  • Model product knowledge and selling techniques to enhance the customer experience.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized store environment.
  • Help with scheduling employees and providing adequate training.
  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure employee compliance with company policies.
  • Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
  • Manage merchandise including receiving, unpacking, stocking, and building merchandise displays.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and control damages and markdowns.
  • Ensure financial integrity of the store through cash accountability and adherence to security practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
  • One year of experience in a specialty retail environment preferred.
  • One year of experience in a retail environment preferred for external candidates.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams and procedures manuals.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cash accountability.
  • Strong product inventory knowledge and creative merchandising abilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and organization skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of situations.
