About The Position

The position involves planning, coordinating, and facilitating events, including kids' birthday parties, within a Michaels store to provide a stress-free, fun, and engaging experience for guests. The role requires delivering friendly customer service by assisting customers in shopping and ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience. Operational tasks include truck unloading, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to uphold the Brand Promises. The candidate will engage with clients of all ages, create an environment of fun and creativity, and demonstrate craft projects during events. Administrative tasks such as answering emails, making phone calls, and completing paperwork are also part of the job. The candidate must ensure client satisfaction, uphold cleanliness and safety standards, and participate in daily store cleanliness activities.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes.
  • Engage with clients of all ages and create an environment of fun and creativity.
  • Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects.
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons.
  • Communicate events with clients and store team members.
  • Complete administrative tasks including emails and paperwork.
  • Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
  • Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
  • Uphold cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Set up, break down, and clean before and after each event.
  • Help customers shop and locate products.
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience.
  • Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS).
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes.
  • Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
  • Interact positively and respectfully with others.
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities.
