As a Store Sales Specialist at REI Co-op, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of outdoor experiences for our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers with their inquiries regarding products, memberships, and special ticket sales, ensuring they receive the best possible service. You will engage with customers daily, sharing your knowledge of REI products and services, and helping them make informed decisions. Your efforts will contribute to our commitment to delivering a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, which includes facilitating transactions, selling memberships, and promoting REI's wide range of products and services. In addition to customer engagement, you will maintain the visual standards of the store in collaboration with store management, merchandising, and sales leads. This includes keeping the merchandise organized on the sales floor and ensuring that the store is visually appealing. You will also participate in REI Sales & Service Training to enhance your skills and knowledge, which will enable you to better support our customers and promote our offerings. Your role will also involve supporting store pick-up operations, including receiving and processing products, while adhering to REI's loss prevention and safety procedures. Flexibility is key in this position, as you will be expected to work a schedule that meets the business needs. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary, allowing you to contribute to various aspects of store operations.
