About The Position

The Store Sales Representative position at Sherwin-Williams is essential for driving top-line sales at assigned Lowe's stores within a designated geographic territory. This role involves implementing various sales and marketing programs, conducting training activities, and fulfilling service and merchandising responsibilities. The representative will manage a territory that typically includes 3 to 5 Lowe's stores, with an average of 4 stores per territory. The primary goal is to enhance sales performance through effective relationship building with store associates and management, as well as by leveraging competitive advantages in the market. In this role, the representative will establish strong selling relationships with store associates and management, continually promoting the brand and product strengths to Lowe's associates and customers. The representative will utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to document sales calls and store visits, while also gathering competitor intelligence. Conducting contractor events to promote products and increase sales is a key responsibility, along with ensuring that promotions, pricing, and signage are appropriately set in each store. Training is a significant aspect of this position, as the representative will conduct product knowledge training sessions for both current and newly hired Lowe's associates. This training will cover product features, benefits, and selling skills, and may include demonstrations of various products. The representative will also assist store associates with tinting and mixing paint as needed, ensuring that all Sherwin-Williams products are fully stocked and properly displayed. Additional responsibilities include managing profit and loss (P&L) reviews, expense management, and completing required paperwork in a timely manner. The representative will also participate in required training sessions and conference calls, and may need to travel to other locations for meetings or seminars, with travel expectations of 50% or more depending on the geographic region.
