About The Position

The Store Protection Specialist at Ross is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both associates and customers by providing a visible presence at store entrances and throughout the sales floor. This role focuses on mitigating theft and fraud while delivering excellent customer service and supporting loss prevention initiatives. Requirements

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year of retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year of loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to resolve conflict.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in loss prevention or security roles.
• Familiarity with retail operations and customer service best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits to deter theft and maintain safety.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner to enhance their shopping experience.
• Monitor the sales floor for potential theft indicators and suspicious behavior.
• Assist store leadership in maintaining a safe environment by removing clutter and ensuring clear emergency exits.
• Educate associates on loss prevention practices and operational shortage reduction initiatives.
• Adhere to company policies regarding theft response and checkout procedures.
