In this role, you will provide a visible presence at the store entrances and exits, mitigating theft and fraud while maintaining a safe and secure environment for both associates and customers. You will greet all customers in a courteous and friendly manner, deterring theft by demonstrating a commanding presence in a company-issued vest and monitoring the Code 50 package inspection policy. Your responsibilities will include walking the sales floor to identify and address potential theft indicators, partnering with store leadership to ensure compliance with loss prevention directives, and embracing company values to protect the Ross treasure. Safety is our number one priority, and you will assist store leadership in maintaining a safe environment for all. You will also provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and treating everyone with respect. Your role will involve recognizing associates through company recognition programs and engaging with internal and external partners. Additionally, you will monitor for potential theft, gather theft indicators, and communicate effectively with store and loss prevention leadership. Training and educating associates on shortage reduction initiatives will be part of your responsibilities, as well as observing and validating proper checkout procedures. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and supporting the company brand at all times.
