About The Position

In this position, you’ll work with the Store Visual Manager, Corporate Visual Manager and the Warehouse Team, to meet corporate objectives. You will ensure we have an efficiently organized operation withing the store’s retail floor and warehouse. The role requires a balance of physicality and creativity. Heaving lifting of 75+ lbs. is involved as you will load and unload trucks, assist customers with the pick-up process of sold goods and regularly move products around on the sales floor. Your creativity will play a key role in the presentation and arrangement of furniture and accessories the showroom floor. You will update inventory records whenever moving merchandise. Travel to the other retail stores is required to assist with floor moves and updating their visual displays.

Requirements

• Heavy lifting of furniture requires the ability to push, pull, tug, lift of 75+ lbs.
• Proper use of tools and climbing of ladders is required.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and equipment operations to support a secure and productive work environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Top-notch organizational skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to be a self-starter, work independently as well in a team environment, while meeting deadlines.
• 2+ years of experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably in Furniture or Home Furnishings.

Responsibilities

• Review and implement floor plans set by the Corporate Visual Manager.
• Arrange, plan spacing and display merchandise in a visually appealing manner to attract customers’ attention.
• Utilize visual elements such as color, lighting, and signage to create an engaging shopping experience.
• Perform daily floor audits of visual standards and guidelines.
• Participate in all store floor moves, remodels and aesthetic changes and projects.
• Tag and label all merchandise per company guidelines.
• Ensure all vendor P.O.P. and signage is current, approved by corporate, and placed in the correct areas.
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery trucks and customer pickups.
• Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, sales associates, buyers and other business partners.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
